Gundagai Shire is located approximately half way between Sydney and Melbourne along Australia's busiest highway, the Hume.
Gasetted in 1923 from an amalgamation of the Adjungbilly Shire and the Gundagai Municipality, the Gundagai Shire is proud of its rich heritage and is home to legends such as the Dog on the Tuckerbox, Dad and Dave and the awe inspiring Rusconi's Masterpiece in Marble
The Council provides a wide range of services to the citizens of its' Shire and is the control authority for all development within the Shire.
